- If I get a report back resulting in "No record found" will I be charged?
Yes, a search resulting in "No record found" provides you with valuable information needed in your decision making process.
- Is AccuReport FCRA compliant?
Yes. AccuReport complies with all applicable standards of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Additionally, for employment purposes, each employee/applicant must be notified that you are requesting a consumer report and a release form must be completed.
- How long do I need to keep release forms on files?
It is recommended that you keep all release forms on file for no less than five (5) years.
- I want my name removed from you system.
You must send verification in writing regarding the removal of your information from our system.
- Why does AccuReport require my e-mail address in order to perform searches.
We require your email address so we have an accurate record of who performed the search. If we have a complaint on an unauthorized search on a particular subject, we can easily provide the interested party a copy of the search request which recorded your e-mail address as well as your incoming IP address.
- What if I can't use e-mail with your system.
Unfortunately, we only allow users able to receive e-mail. Please use our FAQ for further information.
- Someone ran a report on me without my permission. I want to know who it was!
Please put your request in writing and mail to: AccuReport, 2977 HWY K, Suite 245, O'Fallon, MO 63366. Please include a photo-copy of an official ID so we may confirm you are who you say you are.
- What if I forgot my username?
AccuReport uses your initial registration email as your user ID. Your user ID cannot be changed.
- What if I forget password?
Please fill in your user ID / Password and click the “Send Request” button. Your current user ID and a new password will be e-mailed to the address we currently have on file.
- I need help logging in!
AccuReport uses the email address that you registered or ordered your report with as your "user ID.”
- I did not receive my e-mail activation or password, what do I do now?
The most common reason for not receiving an activation email from AccuReport is that the email has been flagged as spam by your ISP or spam filtering software.
Make sure that you are allowing email to be received from our site by adding the domain accureport.com to your safe senders list.
Make sure that you have correctly entered your email address.

- How many years back can I search?
AccuReport's criminal records generally date back a minimum of ten years. The use of these records is governed by state and federal regulations.
- What is your average turnaround time?
Many of our products are instant. Other turnaround times vary from same day to several days depending on the state and the product. Turnaround times are listed next to each report.
- Why do turnaround times vary?
Not all courts provide instant access to their data; therefore, researchers are utilized to search records at the courthouse. Access to those records may vary.
- Can I cancel a search?
Since most searches are instant or are processed instantly, AccuReport cannot cancel a report after it is ordered.
- What is AccuSearch?
AccuSearch is the ultimate pre-screening tool. It utilizes an applicant's address history combined with our up-to-the-minute knowledge of data coverage and actually advises you which searches to perform and takes screening to a whole new level, reducing corporate liability by ensuring you have done everything possible to protect your customers, employees and your company.
- What is a Criminal SuperSearch?
The Criminal SuperSearch is an instant search providing access to 47 states. Sources include court level felony and misdemeanor records, Department of Corrections data, arrest data, and state sex offender registries.
- I ordered multiple searches for a candidate in which some of the reports were instant. Can I view the instant search results before the entire report?
AccuReport permits you to go to your Report History after you submit your search and view any searches with instant results. Additionally, once the report is complete you will be notified by email.
- I didn't get any results back! I want my money back or I think I was scammed!
You are paying for us to search, you are not paying us for the results. AccuReport does not have a database of any records. We query various databases accross the country to obtain your report. If you performed a search and no results were returned, then the database we queried did not have any records for that subject. This could happen for many reasons...
- My reports didn't come to me instantly!
Is your e-mail account set up to receive e-mail from AccuReport? There could have been a technical clich that caused your report to be delayed.
- Can I get an itemized invoice?
Customers can download the detail for their invoice by logging on to the website at www.accureport.com and clicking the My AccuReport button then Report History tab. The detail can be sorted by date, product, user, report and reference.
- I want my money back! Or you need to credit me for the search.
If you have had a problem with the system and you did not receive the product you ordered, we will try to resolve the problem. If we can't we will refund your money. If you ran a report and didn't get any search results back WE WILL NOT REFUND for this.
- Why should our company conduct pre-employment screening?
A criminal background check on an applicant/employee/volunteer ensures your company is demonstrating due diligence in its hiring practices.
